Bosques de Santa Fé Masterplan

Unidad Diseño was chosen to carry out this development, modifying a pre-existing project at the request of the client. The brief included a golf course, which had to be re-designed, as well as the internal road network. Our main intervention was to maintain the holm oak wood on the southern part of the creek, one of the last remaining woods in the city. We proposed a landscaping solution for the roads, and a conservation area favoring the use of endogenous species, as the area has a great diversity of wild flora, thanks to the action of runoff water and streams affecting its geological formation.

The challenge was to design an exclusive residential development in the city, with the premise of maintaining the environmental and landscape values of the “Cañada de los Helechos”, a surprisingly well-preserved natural area covering 110 hectares. The developer was always very understanding and respectful of our proposals seeking a balance between profitable land usage and preserving the environment.

Nowadays, this development is a clear example that sustainability and real estate profits can go hand in hand.
