Banyan Tree Mont Xanic (Competition), 2007

In 2007, Unidad Diseño was invited to a competition for a 100-room hotel within the Monte Xanic winery in the Guadalupe Valley. The proposal aimed to separate the hotel from the winery cellars, in order to maximize views from the rooms and public amenity areas towards the valley. The staggered volumes blended in with the hilly topography.

Sustainability was addressed through the use of local materials in the building design.
