National Motorway Rest Areas

This project was chosen as winning entry in a competition called by the SCT (Communications and Transport Ministry) to design a service/rest area prototype for the Mexico’s highways. The project sought to blend into the landscape through the volumetric use of slopes housing the different uses and spaces required.

The “parador” had 4500 sq.m. of built area, incorporating service areas, hotel, restaurant and gas station.
