Edificio del Río

This building, one of Mario Lazo’s first commissions with his Unidad Diseño studio, was for a group of doctors established in the southern part of Mexico City. The proposal is based on extending the floor space on each level, to increase usable space and optimize the views. A roof terrace lightens the building mass and provides a shared outdoor space.

The project won several awards for its use of a mixed ventilation system. Other innovative aspects were the volumetric mass resulting from the curtain wall solution, and its consideration of environmental factors.
