Chicxulub House

The owners, who love life and outdoor sports, wanted a house for them to spend long holidays with children, grandchildren and friends. They wanted a house that would let them enjoy the calm blue sea, and offer shelter from heavy rain, and from sandy winds. Another determining factor for this project was the shady palm and seagrape grove that had been carefully preserved on the site.

The patio, with the palm grove and sand, welcomes guests as a vestibule for the public areas, and is also an extension of these, connecting the house to the sea front, creating a living space with diverse atmospheres and visual continuity.

The bedrooms are located on the sides of the patio, with two levels that guarantee sea views but allow for privacy.
